Call to the Public Rules
Discussion/Direction: Directing the County Administrator and county staff to draft proposed rules for Call to the Public during meetings of the Pima County Board of Supervisors and/or any board, committee or commission of the County - for discussion/action/approval by the Board of Supervisors at a subsequent meeting of the Board. Such rules should encourage civil discourse, prevent slander, and as much as possible, prevent the Call to the Public from being an opportunity for the unchecked spread of dangerous misinformation; and should abide by all relevant Arizona Revised Statutes regarding public meetings as well as the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
