Title: Environmental Impact Reviews (EIRs) Policy Discussion/Direction/Action: Directing the County Administrator to present to the Board of Supervisors by the September 2, 2025 Meeting of the Board, a policy to require the completion of Environmental Impact Reviews that provide policy makers and the public with a robust analysis of the environmental and environmental justice impacts of proposed economic development projects in Pima County. The EIRs should include, but not be limited to, immediate and cumulative impacts to the quality and quantity of all relevant water sources; energy demand and generation requirements; and the compatibility with Pima County Climate Action Plan, the Conservation Lands System, the Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan, and Multi-Species Habitat Plan. The EIRs should be made available to the public along with economic analysis of the projects' impacts.
