Employment of Outside Counsel for Anti-Racketeering Funds Review
Discussion/action regarding use of RICO Funds to pay legal fees for outside counsel.
Direction (1/2/18):
County Administrator to obtain clarification from State Attorney General and opinion from Attorney General if new statute allows for use of RICO Funds to pay for legal fees of outside counsel, and if RICO Funds are not allowed, to have Attorney General specify which part of the statute disallows the use. Staff and County Administrator will seek clarification from State Legislature of their intent for amending the statute.
